Technology Education

"Teaching Tomorrows Technology Today"

Students in the Technology education program experience a comprehensive and sequential curriculum taught by certified technology education specialists. Course offerings are established based on the standards contained in the Massachusetts Science and Technology/Engineering Curriculum Frameworks. Those frameworks emphasize the close and growing relationship among Science,Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Additionally, courses within the department support the core values identified in the Silver Lake Mission Statement, as well as providing opportunity for students to demonstrate many aspects of the Student Expectations. Courses in the Technology Department encourage students to reach proficiency toward the following SLRHS Academic Expectations: Define, analyze and solve problems using a variety of strategies and use technology to access and convey knowledge.
